Many artists roam through nature for inspiration, Karen Musmeci wanders through scrap yards. She is inspired by metal rejected from the aerospace industry in Los Angeles, having even used pieces from the International Space Station in her creations.
Karen Musmeci was born in Hull, Massachusetts, a small beach town outside of Boston. She graduated with a BA from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts. Currently, she lives and works splitting her time between Hull, MA and Palm Springs, CA. The big blue ocean and the bountiful beige desert provides a wonderful catalyst for creating.
Over the last 25 years, she has worked on many project collaborations with designers, project managers, art consultants, and presidents of companies to create meaningful installations. Her work is featured in may private and public collections including; Toyota, Boeing, and the Ritz Carlton. Karen’s works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions at art shows and galleries throughout the United States.
